Jo Ann Freiberg, Ph.D.
"Working Collaboratively With Schools to Diminish Bullying: A Partnership Approach"
Jo Ann Freiberg is a consultant with the Connecticut Department of Education working with the Bureau of Accountability and Improvement. She manages the wide arena of Bullying, Improving School Climate, and Character Education for Connecticut.

Jennifer Laviano, Esq.
"Children with Disabilities: How IDEA and the IEP Can Aaddress the Problems of Bullying"
Jennifer Laviano is an attorney dedicated to working on behalf of children with disabilities, including the many who are vulnerable to bullying behaviors.

Suzanne Goodison
"School Power: Creating Emotional Safety"
Suzanne Goodison is the principal of the R.W. Carbone Elementary School in East Haven and taught for 20 years in the Wethersfield school system. She is a passionate supporter of creating a safe school climate for all.

Driving Directions

The conference will be held at the Farmington Marriott, 15 Farm Springs Road, in Farmington, Connecticut. Phone: (860) 678-1000

Traveling eastbound: Follow I-84 East to Exit 37 (Fienemann Road). At end of ramp, turn left at traffic light. At next set of traffic lights turn right, and enter the drive marked "Farm Springs." The hotel is at the end of the drive.

Traveling westbound: Follow I-84 West to Exit 37 (Fienemann Road). At end of ramp, proceed straight through traffic light, and enter the drive marked "Farm Springs." The hotel is at the end of the drive.
